I've been wanting to do my own kitbash/bootleg tribute to M.U.S.C.L.E. for some time now and the Monocromatic contest was the perfect opportunity to debut the first character, 001. "Lucha Douches" will be 6-7 inch figures kitbashed and bootlegged, cast in solid colors with no articulation much like their 80's counterparts. I have always been a fan of line and still pick figures up at garage sales and Goodwill stores when ever I see them.
001 here was kitbashed using a Ben 10 Ultimate Forearms upper half and a Jakk's Pacific WWE figure lower half. The head is 100% custom sculpted and I did some sculpting on the gauntlets and crotch. The skull on his chest is from Hulk Classics armor. I chose the basic peach color because I figured it would be the most recognized deco for M.U.S.C.L.E.
Cool entry, making a larger scale M.U.S.C.L.E. or Monster in My Pocket was something I also considered doing as an entry (I was thinking of making that big brick arch guy, but the prospect of tediously sculpting all those individual bricks quickly put the kabosh on that idea.) I'm happy to see someone else had the same idea and ran with it; nice job!
