It's been awhile since I have entered a contest so be gentle.
This started out as one of the skinny first movie Ironman figure. I added a modified Super-patriot head, DC Universe Steel boots, and a heck of a lot of fodder. Gun is from Judge Dredd with a clear blue missile for an ice ray.. The ice and icicles was something I work out using Super glue gel, dusted with baking soda and silver glitter. I also used some plastic icicles from a garland of icicles I got from Michael's. Comments and feedback is welcome.
This is an amazing achievement, Mad Tinker, that a only few have accomplished. If you haven't already, This definetely has secured your place in the customizing HALL of FAME! a 2-3 punch that will not soon be forgotten. I actually liked the snowman suit a tad better than this one and I was fooled it was you!
I have to admit that I intentionally tried to disguise my snowman suit Mr Freeze entry just for grins and giggles. Just made sure the background were different and camera angles a little off. Thanks for the comments FF. Always an honor to have an artist like your self weigh in on my customs. I do plan on revisiting the snowman battle suit someday soon.
Hey, Thanks for all the votes and comments. Mr Freeze is one figure I have wanted to do from early on. The clear dome has been an obstacle. I experimented with different methods of creating ice, including hot glue and contemplated using resin. But after researching online, I found a method of creating snow on miniature figurines using baking soda and super glue. I altered that method based on the scale of the figure and trying to make some icicles. Thanks again for looking and the votes.
The figures contained in the Custom Showcase are not for sale by Figure Realm, and the creators of the customs are no way affiliated with Figure Realm. The Custom Showcase is purely for entertainment purposes and only provides a means for the creators to show off their work and trade ideas. Figure Realm does not make or sell customs.
