Jack O'Lantern certainly has a convoluted history, with no less than five different villains assuming the costume/identity if you count his alias "Mad Jack," although I mostly remember him as an adversary of Spider-Man (and Machine Man!) in his first incarnation in the early 80s, and an enemy of Captain America and a member of The Red Skull's Skeleton Crew in his second. The second Jack O'Lantern has caused some controversy amongst fans due to Marvel's nonsensical timelines and continuity dilemmas at the time, which the company has tried to retroactively clean up but if I tried to explain the huge mess they made of it in a way that makes sense your head would probably explode like that guy in Scanners, so I will spare you the grief. Nonetheless, there's no denying that it's a cool gimmick. If a character has either a skull, an eyeball, or a pumpkin for a head, then count me in! I love that kind of stuff. Anyway, Jack O'Lantern uses a DCUC Deathstroke base, the body was completely broken down and sanded and painted from the inside out. Straps on his legs were removed and the resulting gaps were re-sculpted, and his head was shaved down to fit inside of the pumpkin, which is a Neca Michael Myers Halloween accessory, so it maintains articulation. The flame behind his head is from a 90s era Jack O'Lantern figure. The belt is from a DCUC Superman and the bombs are bbs. I tweaked the trigger finger on the left hand so that it can grip a bb like a baseball, for throwing poses. The arms and hands are from a DCUC Vigilante, with re-sculpted gloves. The tunic from a 90s era Blink figure was cut up and re-assembled to provide the handkerchief Jack wears around his neck. It is made of soft rubber so it does not impede the head articulation. His hovercraft was made using a stand from a Halo Cortana figure; it has 3 LED lights implanted in it that light up from the bottom when you hit a switch underneath the stand. The bottom part of the hovercraft is from a Lost In Space B-9 model kit, and the gravel/clear plastic stand/base is from a Dusty Trail Spider figure. The hovercraft can be removed from the base.
