Freddy's always had the ability to shape-shift. Whatever demented, grotesque joke Freddy fancied, he could become it in the dream. But this time, it's no dream. This is a concept Freddy meets The Thing monstrosity. How sick & twisted it'd be if Freddy boy got all messed up with the alien organism from John Carpenter's The Thing?! Now that would make one seriously scarey pukefest! Wasn't particularly fond of the recent Elm St. remake with Jackie Earle Haley, where he played Freddy as a disgruntled, burnt-out pedophile, with no new tricks and just overall lacking in his ability to make us laugh while slashing. Freddy is truly at his best when he's portrayed as an unrelenting prankster, dangling his victim's life and mixing bloody agony with side splitting hilarity. Guess it don't hurt to also be morphing into some ugly-azzed, parasitic alien fubar. Hey, it wasn't like Freddy was all that handsome to begin with, and at least now he'll have some extra limbs to use up against his pals from Mortal Kombat!
