Here is my take on Gamora as seen in the more recent Guardians of the Galaxy books. Specifically, I blended her look there with the one from The Thanos Imperative. I dremeled and sculpted the heck out of a DCUC Power Girl figure and gave her new hair, straps, boots, etc. etc. The straps, skulls, "chain", crown and holster are mostly done using a combination of apoxie sculpt, fix-it, and fodder.
I painted her using Citadel undercoats and then topcoat mixes of various Citadels coated, drybrushed, recoated, drybrushed, recoated, so-on for what seemed like a thousand hours until I had all the tones I wanted. Her eye makeup and the other finer details were done with a brush and also Gundam markers, both ultrafine.
Only the energy pistol is stock--every other piece of her gear was customized. I gave her a poseable hand and removable cape, which also features a slot for bladed weapons. Three blades are pictured here--her legendary shiv Godslayer is almost invisible, try to spot it on her back in the second pic wedged between Godblade and the right strap of her costume!

For those unfamiliar, she is a fairly underused character created by Jim Starlin waaaay back in Strange Tales #180. She is the adopted daughter of Thanos and is probably best known as onetime keeper of the Time Gem. She held key roles in the Annihilation wave and against Captain Mar-Vell and the Revengers of the reality known as the Cancerverse.
I'm not familiar with the character, but I love the paint scheme.
Great paint job!
