Soon Baytes was a renowned Jedi in the years preceding the Great Jedi Purge. He originally appeared as an assistant to Yoda in Jedi Council: Acts of War. In the "Obsession" limited series, Obi-Wan Kenobi speaks well of him and reveals that they haven't met in years. He was slain by General Grievous.
