this is my favorite look for logan and its from one of my favorite comics, havok & wolverine: meltdown, a four part prestige format book miniseries from the late eighties. i love the crazy hair and the popeye-esque forarms. great story and some beautiful watercolored art in that book.

hes a legendary riders logan from the waist down and biceps, sentry torso (lined shirt in bead cord then sculpted in shirt), frankensteins monster forearms and hands (added metal claws and sculpted arm hair), wonderman head (with sculpted hair, sideburns and sunglasses), then total repaint.

comments, as always, are greatly appreciated.

Who's the artist of that last pic? Looks a little like Sam Keith.

kent williams was the artists name. he did the wolverine pages and jon j. muth did the havok art in the book series. I see the resemblance to sam keiths work, keiths wolverine work is a lil hardered lined and more angular. kent williams did a lot of work on marvels epic imprint (which is what this book was released under) and some hellblazer covers for vertigo in the early ninties.

thanks, it was quite a challenge bringing the book art to life. I might have to do another in costume one eventually too, in the book his mask was exaggerated the same way his hair was, its crazy looking.
