The hair was made from plastic (cut from blister package material), and assembled in layers from the bottom up, to resemble his unruly mane. The collar and glider wings were cut from the red portion of a plastic bag, stretchable and very durable. Sculpting was done over the back of the wings to secure them firmly onto the figure. They remain firmly attached during movement and fold easily when the arms rest at the sides. This base figure was chosen for its numerous points of articulation, the open mouth sculpt, but mostly because the arms were able to pull off the vampire stance so well. Hand painted in acrylic.
