Hey I'm back with a revamped Vulcan Spider Man. I'm reusing the old one I made when I first submitted him. I sculpted armor on his left arm. On his right arm I sculpted the wrist web shooter. He has some ammo packs on his right leg. A ring around his left shin. I sculpted the chest so it looks a bit buffier, but I think he looks too buff. I got the "helmet" idea from Ant Man's Helmet. I tried to make it look like a spider but I guess it doesn't I has a cape from the Hasbro re-release of Symbiote Spider Man. Thanks to ToymakerB for providing the flame effects. Well I hope you like him guys. I tried the hardest to make him look perfect to my ideas. Hope you like him

*L* Gah! Don't stare at the bulb while it's on! You can buy bulbs with the word "white" on em like "soft white" or whatnot... in general, shine the light directly on the ceiling. A lot of bulbs will cast a noticeable yellowish light on a white ceiling. It's not super important, but it helps. The important thing is to not use a flash.

hmm, how can yuo tell if the light bulb is white or yellow? I just stared at the bulb when it was on now I see flashes now and then , ahh, can't see well now. Well I'll try your advice.

Don't use a flash at all. Trust me. The problem with a flash is that since the light is flashing straight at the figure, most of the light is reflecting directly back at the lens and gives the unfortunate impression of gloss paint. Find a lamp with a white light bulb (rather than yellow) to cast light on your figure from the side(s). You'll find that you have very little to no glare in your pictures and your figures will be far better lit. That way we can fully appreciate your amazing work.

Yeah, soft flash to be exact. I hate regular flash too flashy

You can likely find Vallejo matte varnish at your local comic shop. Hmm... oh wait, are you using a flash to take the picture?

gah, I hate enamel, I would kill enamel if I could. I don't seal my figures. This one wasn't gonig to be sealed becasue The base color was already blackish. And I can never seem to find a sealer

It's not enamel? What kind of varnish are you using to seal the fig?

thanks Pun. Yup I designed the whole character. Well when ifirst made him I was making it look like the symbiote was attached to him so I guess I never told the story of that. I am currently using Testors Acrylic.

Is he an original character design? I love your shading, I love your paint apps... the only thing I don't like is the gloss effect. If that was intentional and what you had in mind for the character, sweet... but if not, I'd recommend you try some matte varnish. What brand of paints do you use, bro?
