Custom Space Neo Viper Version 2 3 3/4″ G.I. Joe Action Figure – Created March 27, 2012

I was requested, by the same person for whom I made my original Space Neo Viper, to make an updated version of the Space Viper. The only mandate for the new version was to just give him glossy blue eyes, but I really wanted to go all out for this one. The entire figure was painted white, and dry brushed with silver to give a pearlized look. The front console of the space suit was a modified Neo Viper backpack. The jetpack was something I really wanted to make special.

The central part of the jetpack is the one that came with the G.I. Joe Resolute Duke figure, and the two jets are made from Iron Man missile launchers. I too the missiles from those launchers and painted them up like fire, and used a Bevmo martini stirrer as a flight stand that plugs into his figure stand. The helmet is from a Rise of Cobra Accelerator Suit Duke. The visor was made from some action figure blister pack, that I used the styrene conforming method to perfectly shape around the head. I also used my method for making custom insignias for the Cobra emblems on the jetpack and on the front console. Finishing touch was including a Tesseract blaster from a Captain America movie Hydra Soldier.
