I love the Soviet Super Soldiers. Their first appearance was in The Incredible Hulk #258 (Apr 1981). created by Bill Mantlo and Sal Buscema. Ursa Major was a hulk-like Russian hero. Instead of transforming into a big, green monster he turned into a big ol' bear! I don't know if he was a grizzly or kodiak!
Some info about Mikhail Ursus:
Ursus is a mutant with the power to transform himself into a brown bear. While in his bear form he can press about 15 tons and has the heightened reflexes, senses, stamina, and resistance to injury many times that of a normal brown bear. His human intellect and the ability to speak remains with him while he is in this bear form. It is unknown how long he can remain in his bear form.

My Recipe called for:
A Marvel Legends Hulk series Wendigo!
One toy bear(I didn't think I should attempt to sculpt one!)
I took the head off Wendigo, cut the head off the bear just below his neckline where it would still rotate
I removed the bears arms and legs
Split the torso and slipped it over Wendigo's and it fit just below his chest
Attached the head with sculpt
Sculpted over the torso and the chest area blended in the fur sculpt
Sculpted fur for the thighs
I soaked it in RIT black dye to see if I could dye the white plastic body black. It didn't work like I wanted. It did dye the sculpted areas jet black but only tinted Wendigo's white plastic body a little. I ended up breaking Wendi down some and trimming and sanding his joints so there wouldn't be bad paint rub
