It all started with a Billiken static vinyl model kit from the late 80's. The base body is a super articulated GI Joe. The body is then padded with muscles of foam rubber to bulk him up a bit and make the vinyl kit adhere better and give it a more realistic look. The lycra base suit is from a Stormtrooper doll. All of the extra parts are removed from the model kit and the remaining parts are sanded, heated and formed to the GI Joe body and then glued on. The cape is vinyl. A small buckle was added to the back of the belt so that it can be removed. The kit is then hand painted but because the kit comes in black vinyl anyway I chose not to paint it. All guidence and inspiration came from Les Walker and Alex Rojas who are both incredible customizers.
