This costume has brought mixed feelings for myself and probably everyone keeping up with the New 52. It's grown on me and i felt i had to try and do it justice in figure form.

Recipe:
Base: Marvel Legends Black Suit Spider Man
Head: Robin DCUC
Belt: Multiple Batman belts in my fodder bin
Chest Harness: Various GI Joe straps and pieces
Shoe Tops: Small leather straps
"Feather" Cape: MAAANY strips of craft vinyl cord
Staff: Straitened electrical wire

The chest harness was in itself the most time consuming part, although how to do the cape in the best way was a pretty big hold up. I had the figure finished about a month ago, tried a few different ideas until i decided on the vinyl cord. A few layers of acrylic paint later we have the end result.

I'm fairly proud. Hope it meets approval!

Jeez, is that what he looks like nowadays?? What a mess.
But aside from what I feel is a needlessly busy design, it's a very nicely rendered figure of a difficult subject.
All your parts gotogether really well and the paint work is crisp and bright.

that cape is magnificent in and among itself! the costume is likeable but it is extreme looking! I haven't saw the actual comic character in this costume yet but it's got it's own personality for sure!

Thanks! Teen Titans is, to me, actually worth checking out. I've gotten into it pretty well into it along with the rest of the New 52. I really dig Red Robin, Super Boy & Wonder Girl's new incarnations.
