Got this fig from a friend in USA, and when I got it, I was surprised. Positively, for sculpt and articulation. ML articulation on a MS figure? great. But I was disappointed on thepaints department. I can expect that from Hasbro, from which I don't buy action figures anymore, but articulated modeling kits, which I really enjoy painting. But then again, a marvel selct figure should have a better paint job. This is the first MS I repaint completely. First off, I dremeled a little on both heads, to make them really interchangeable, cause THEY ARE NOT. Is like, "pull off like crazy till you break the neck peg to put on the spidey head". Yeah, right. Now, they can pop off EASILY, and they also stay in place. The Peter Parker head looks NOTHING like andrew garfield, but to my surprise, after the paint job, the facial features emerged, and holy crap, it's really him! he just needed a little highlght paint and 2 pounds of eyebrow. The webbing of course was hard, and the small drybrushing after the wash and outlining on the gloves...man, I almost went blind and then crazy. I repainted the eyes old gold, with a wash in black, cause originally they were lemon yellow and looked weird. I painted the soles silver and the webshootes, too. C'mon, it's a Marvel Select, for pete's sake! they couldn't even paint that???
Hey, Let me know what you think. For those of you who don't own this fig, I posted a before pic with the Parker head.
