This started out as what I thought was going to be a simple re-paint, but by the end I'm pretty sure I was looking like the Red Hulk figure itself. Enraged! What happened was, I had the details down just the way I wanted it to look, so I went to apply a clear sealer, I did so and it clouded the paint job. Ok not a big deal, used some thinner and repainted...and then went to use a different clear, it clouded even worse! Now, I'm to the point where I can't go any darker, so I mixed up some thinned down dark red and washed and dried a coat of that and followed it up with a black wash also, as for the pants the clears and thinners mixed together gave them a cool stone-washed worn look. For the clear I went with an acrylic triple thick brush-on gloss glaze, and it worked, finally. So, I hope you like, all and all I think it came out looking pretty good. Any comments are welcome or advice.

Some sealants cloud over when you have too much moisture in the air. This really sucks if you live FL like me. so if it's a spray do it out side and bring it in to dry.

I do live in Florida as a matter of fact as well, I use the sun and heat to speed along certain steps of the process most of the time. For some reason that day, first sunny day after bad rains, I rushed to produce this piece and I payed for it. I'm thinking maybe I should wait for a dry sunny day and try the matte finish again. Thanks for the advice.

I know that's the triple thick acrylic gloss glaze I had to brush on, I used a matte finish to beginnig with but it clouded the paint for some reason? So I tried a stray lacquer, even worse. I tell myself it gives him a sweaty, fleshy real life look to the Hulk.
