Hey all,

Sooo...my new series...WATCHMEN!

I have loved the story for decades (literally) and I did like the movie. I wanted to make these in this scale since I first started customizing but only made a Marvel Universe scale set (it's here on the realm if you're interested-some of my earliest work!).

So to Nite Owl. He's a DC UC Catman. I picked him because of the color of the joints being closer to the copper-brown of the suit from the film. There's a thin layer of Aves over most of the figure. I layered them on separately so that I could alternately make textured and flat surfaces that have to connect into the armour. I went with my gut as to how close to match the movie, so it isn't 100%, but gets the job done. I may revisit it later when I have more time (i.e. retired and kids grown up,LOL!)

I sculpted the helmet/mask, guantlets, all the body armour, boots, and knee pads. It took several days but I think it was worth it. He's painted in custom mixed colors of browns and golds to get the right look. His cape is my normal cut and sealed cloth that is wired for poseability--though I MAY have made it a wee bit longer than I initially intended. Another piece of cloth sits where his cowl meets his chest and shoulders, and does a fine job of concealing the cape attachment. I actually found a little gun that looks similar to the laser pistol he uses in Ozymandias' lair at the end of the film, and included it. I made his little owl-a-rang, or whatever, but am working on figuring out how to attach it to his belt so it can also be removable and used.

Rorschach and Silk Specter are complete as well.

This is one of the few pieces of work that I feel really tried my skill sets, and forced me to improve and be patient, and I'm really happy with him.

Critiques, as always, are welcome. I appreciate the feedback and the opportunity to get better!

- Fitz

Awesome work. Very impressed because it's not an easy costume to do at all. I wish you could have put up a more close up picture so I can admire the textures you put on. I can sort of see them at this size, but they're kinda hard to make out.
