I made this one for my brother for his birthday coz he's a huge fan. so here is my ode to the greatest sci-fi movie of all time... Blade Runner. sculpted the shirt, belt and blaster with sculpey; ApoxieSculpt was used to fill the holes for dock's tentacles and sculpt the coat collar. dremelled away certain parts of the coat to get rid of the two-coats effect and make it look like Deckard's suit jacket underneath. also I dremelled away at the face to get rid of some of the Alfred Molina puffiness and give a more accurate likeness by straightening the nose and getting rid of the double chin and jowls. used photo's and the DVD to get the costume right, and I'm proud to say that everything (including the wacky shirt) is pretty darn accurate to the movie. The Diorama I did inbetween sessions and is from sculpey. it's not the right shape but the pedestrian lights are accurate to the film. I will post the diorama on it's own in the future for a better look as it has a photographic background of a Blade Runner street scene. hope you all enjoy it and I'm interested in any feedback you may have for me.

nice one mate!! they're doing a new version which brings the count to three, original, director's cut, and ultimate. watch for the scene with the snake merchant. the audio doesn't match what they're really saying and when director's cut came out I thought I would finally hear the real dialogue but it was the same!!! so hopefully the new one will reveal the truth!!

Actually mines do - but thats cos I have artificial lenses in my eyes after eye surgery - it happens when light hits them at a certain angle "catseye" effect
For the record I think Deckard was a Nexus 5 replicant - since he didn't have the super strength and
agility of zhora, Leon, Roy and Priss
The bit you mentioned VP and the part where he dreams of unicorns and then Gaf leaves a unicorn outside the apartment means he has artificial dreams and memories that the cops are privy to
He never had an ex-wife - implanted memories
And I think is kinda pathetic that you can't write a great writers name without getting it modded by the language filter
PHILIP K D!CK - not Philip K Monkey
But getting back on topic
Nice custom Zenn - lets call this Deckard from the Novel to avoid confusion with Ford Deckard from the movie...
I can make you a harrison ford head if you want - I have a 12" han solo here I could recast and mod

I see what your saying, I'll look more closely next time I watch the orig. I definitely prefer the idea that he is.

Well I don't know if it's different in the original version, but when they're in his apartment and he leaves the kitchen after she asks if he's taken the test, his eyes have a yellow shine like only replicants have. Normal people's eyes just don't do that. So he's a replicant in my book.

Well I really leave it up to whichever version of the film I'm watching I suppose. Ridley Scott wanted him as a replicant but apparently Ford was against it. I like the idea that he is as it's a little more hopeful that he and Rachel can find some degree of happiness. but I also love the existential vibe of their escape not meaning much if he's a human. he just ruins his life and she's still going to die. but it all depends on the unicorn! but I'm more a fan of the book than the film so when it comes to that... no... he is not a replicant. how but you? what do you like to believe about the whole thing?

So... do you think Deckard was a replicant?

yeah I know but it was all I had I'm afraid. I was more interested in character likeness than actor likeness and he had a pretty similar hair cut, but the main thing was that glazed look in his eyes. I felt those eyes really showed what Deckard's character is feeling after be blasts Zhora. so that's why I just dremmelled away the chubbiness and repainted.

Great work on the painting and such here, but that head is a just a bit off. Mr. Molina doesn't look a thing like Ford.

Hey I didn't think about that link between ford and molina!(one of my favorite actors) do you mean to say that you have never seen Blade Runner?! go and buy it now!!! take a sick day and watch the thing!!! get whatever version you can and just watch it!!!!!!! after that give yourself a treat and read the book which is even better!! "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" by Phillip K. monkey. The master of sci-fi in one of his finer speed induced ramblings!

I need 2 see this film! I think it's interesting u made this guy outta Molina-who was with Ford in Raiders(and because I just started making an Indy last nite). The head choice is kinda off, but otherwise cool.
