In the Hellraiser universe, dwells the mother of all Cenobites. Where most of them relished physical torture, dismemberment, and other mathematics of pain, this Witch tormented in the mind of its victim(s). With highly potent powders and spells, she would cast them in the face of her captive and sabotage their sense of reality. Once inside their minds, she triggers a sound of continuous laughing, so nonsensical that the person becomes imprisoned in madness. And while still alive, she would eat them in the dark, as they're watching, believing all this is happening in their mind, with the incessant cackling droning to the sound of their own delirium. As a final desecration, she implants a Cenobite seed in her victim, allowing it to eventually overtake the body and join the Order - hooks and all! Pinhead exists as a result of Zaneeba meeting Captain Elliot Spenser, a map maker for the Royal British Army. In his work, he was obsessed with detail and of course, accuracy, so therefore was extremely meticulous and thorough. Silver 3 inch pins were his trademark and often used to mark positions, or to indicate areas on a map that needed revision or further analysis. Naturally his obsession with his work grew into a bizarre obsession for the pins. When Zaneeba met the map maker, she made him an offer he couldn't refuse. She handed him the demonic Lament Configuration, promising wisdom and clairvoyance. And when Capt. Spenser opened the box, her incantations swallowed him inside and Pinhead was born.
While in his Cenobite spirit form, he resented obeying her and soon discovered the source of her powers. Adding mutiny to mutilation, he ordered for an apparatus made, in an effort to subordinate her. A torture device similar to an iron maiden (nails in a coffin)was built, but this was specifically designed just for her head. She was captured by the other Cenobites, strung up and slained repeatedly. Knowing she would seek revenge on those that froshed her, Pinhead placed the cauldron mask over her head and sealed it. The mask inhibited her use of psi-control and left her sharing an agony similar to Pinhead's but completely in the dark, and trapped inside the hollow of the mask.
The head was from a Wal-Mart Alien Invader figure, sculpted on to a swivel neck. Cut pieces from the plastic coat of a Hulk figure to make her coat tails and legs from a toy insect were used for her coat collar. The blade behind her back was cut from a McFarlane weapon accessory. The figure has full articulation and painted in acrylics. As a contribution to the Hellraiser sanctum, this figure/story was created out of fan interest and is an original design. cheers, thanks for visiting!
