Hello all! I present to you the Starbucks Siren!
^_^

A Valentine's gift for my lovely wife for being ever so patient and supportive of this awesome hobby I've been obsessed with. :)

The Starbucks Siren has been on my to-do list for some months now ever since I looked at a Starbucks Coffee Stopper and thought to myself, "This would make a cool staff!......for the Starbucks Siren!". Both my wife and I love Starbucks coffee and I felt this would make a cool homage to that Magical Place of Undersea Coffee.

+Head - From a MOTUC Star Sister Starla. Took the small star from her 'top' and glued it unto her crown to simulate the Starbucks Siren's crown. Painted the hair, crown and touched up the face. Didn't need to do much to her makeup as it was already perfect. Added 3 Swarovski crystals to the crown.

+Body - From a MOTUC Star Sister Jewelstar. Removed Jewelstar's head. Removed the 'top' from her torso and sanded her body down. Added a modified "shell-top/bikini top", taken from a McFarlane Toys Thresher figure. Cut off the front of her feet. Attached plastic blister pieces, cut as fins, to her ankle joints. Sculpted over her pelvic area, legs and fins in stages, over a number of days. I sculpted individual scales using the round tip of a pen...must be hundreds of them. Created a hole in her lower back to attach to the stand. Repainted the whole body. I tried to simulate what used to be "crystal formations" on her knees and forearms into "shell armor".

+Trident and Staff - Slightly modified and repainted Aquaman's trident, then added some Swarovski crystals and slightly larger rhinestones. Her Staff is a repainted Starbucks Coffee Stopper with 2 Swarovski crystals.

+Base - Combined a rock base and clear Marvel Legends 'stand', courtesy of Ole Jade Jaw (thanks, bro ^_^). Glued and sculpted them together. Painted the rock base to simulate an undersea rock with some coral. I glued a small Starbucks logo to the rock base, peeled off from a Starbucks' reload card (the ones they have near the register).
:)
Completed 2/15/2013.

Thanks for looking, Realmers!
^_^

NeCro, I have a confession to make--I forgot to vote on this piece!!! I was reading your write-up while my car was being serviced the other day and got called in the middle and never got back to my comment! You always take note of my submissions and you did an awesome job on this original concept, so please accept my belated kudos.

Thank you so much, HULK13 The Starbucks Siren's mermaid tails is one of the reasons I was so fascinated with this character. On the Starbucks logo, you'll notice that she has two tails, one on each leg...I just had to customize her. I'm glad I did. She was a fun little project.
