This is a great custom but don't you have trouble covoring up the paint rub in the joints since the base fig was white?

Not really; all you have to do is warwe down a bit the paint, let it dry for 1 hour, then repeat this method for a second time without watering down the paint & dry it outside on the sun for 30 minutes. The results are outstanding! (And a little of Dull coat helps a lot!)
