Superman, the grand daddy of them all! And we're talking pure, classic Sups here, not some revamp New52 or movie reboot...thingy. In fact, this particular custom was inspired by the original Superpowers collection Superman figure which I coveted as a child. I never did get one! I'm not bitter about it at all though.

Body?

DCUC Ultra Man body (perfect shade of Superman blue!) stripped down with head and cape removed. The 'S' symbol, belt and boot tops were all sculpted with Milliput.

Head?

The head is an original sculpt by myself. Influenced by pictures of the original SP Sups figure and John Byrne's Man of Steel artwork of the character.

Cape?

The cloth cape has craft wire sewn along the edges for posability I also prefer Sups to have a yellow 'S' on the back of his cape so I painted the shield with Acrylics and then went over it with a water proof Fine Liner pen for the details...and...er...that's about it!

Things learned?

Sculpting my own action figure heads is the only way to match the figure in my mind to the one I'm working on. Deep, right? No? OK.
