Weapon X Deadpool I wanted to make a Marvel Legends style Weapon X style Deadpool . It seems like everyone is making Deadpool customs but none are really unique. Everything looks similar with him in the red costume or him in X-Force gear. So to be different, I went back and made a pre-mercenary Deadpool. He appeared in the comics a few times in this suit, during flashback scenes. I’ve seen other customs of this costume but wanted to keep him as different as possible. So the first thing was to give him an interchangeable head system. The heads are magnetic, using mini rare earth magnets, and he keeps his range of motion. After I finished painting his unmasked head, I decided to make an unscarred version based on some of the comic book scenes crossed with Ryan Reynolds who played him in the horrific Wolverine Origins Movie. All three heads are interchangeable and he was given a removable plastic hood that can be attached to the neck when you have him posed with either unmasked head. This makes him look like he just slipped the mask off like a hood. Next the body needed a lot of detail, so I sculpted straps and buckles onto his chest area that feed into the sword harness on his back. He was given a drop holster on his right leg that seats an all-black pistol. All of the details were sculpted and then primed. He was painted using Citadel and Testor’s Model Master Paints, and was sealed. The heads were also hand painted. All of the buckles were chromed to look like real metal. Deadpool’s paint job was sealed to avoid paint rub issues. I added a secret back up holster under his sword scabbards on the rear of his belt. This holds a silver and black larger caliber pistol, for when he runs out of ammo and has nothing else left. The swords on his back are removable from the scabbards and the scabbards are removable from his back harness. The swords and scabbards are also hand painted. He was given a trademark Deadpool belt buckle, a H&K MP-5 submachine gun with silencer for quiet missions (something he doesn’t quite grasp the concept of) , and a Colt M-4 style rifle with grenade launcher attachment on the bottom. He started out as a Marvel Legends X-Force Wolverine with a Marvel Legends X-Force Deadpool head, swords, scabbard, and harness. He has Bucky Cap hands. The scarred head is a ML Age of Apocalypse Wolverine. The Wade Wilson head is a cast of a DC Classics Aquaman that was repainted to look more like the comic version of Wade. A lot of fodder pouches and guns were added. The rest was a lot of sculpting, paint, and more sculpting and more paint. Thanks for looking guys! ![]() |
