Purchased a McFarlane: Alien vs. Predator - Celtic Predator Throws Alien 1:18 scale diorama. I was of course disappointed with articulation but thought it was currently the best 1:18 Drone Alien Xeno sculpt out there.

So I cut it up into pieces at the foot, knee, hip, wrist, and elbow. Then I broke out the drimmel and tooled up every joint to take on GI Joe fodder to get the articulation.

1: cross bar @ the hips
2: elbow at the knee
3: ankles at the feet
4: elbow at the elbow
5: snake-eyes wrist with the ball-hinged wrist to move the alien claw flat
6: the original articulation was left at the neck, shoulder, tail & torso.

Went back and sculpted with Avix the holes in the original sculpt. Then applied hand painted model masters over the sculpted areas.

The Drone stands a bit tall to scale but stands always crouched over. The wiki link says they range from 7'-8' so this scale is around 8’-3” but close enough for me.

She is taking on Marvel Universe’s (1:18) X-Force X-23…may need to call in some Drone backup…
