not sure if this is allowed or not... having a collection of figures rather than having to submit a page for each figure.

my daughter is obsessed with peppa pig (she 8 now but shes got autism so she still loves it) but for some reason they made about 5-10 official characters and stopped making any more just kept reproducing them in new colours...WTF?!!!!,

so i decided to make her some extra characters with all the duplicates we gathered over the years, the characters are both from the actual t.v series, plus a few characters she thought of herself.

mose figures are simply swapped head and repainted but some are sculpted (zuzu&zaza, edmund, the kangaroos)

picture one...
kylie kangaroo
mummy kangaroo
twins zuzu and zaza zebra
uncle and auntie pig with cousin chole and baby Alexander(and buggy)

daddy zebra(postman), mummy zebra, zebadee (with official zoe zebra)

These are amazing and such a good idea! My daughter is nearly 3 and loves her peppa pig toys, so I'm gonna try and have a go myself at some of these! Please could you tell me if Mrs hamster the vet is a sculpted head or is it one of the other heads re-painted please and who's body you used? Many thanks!!

thank you,
im pretty sure it was just mummy sheep (body and head) with the tips of mummy rabbits ears attached then just repainted,
tbh you could prob get away without swapping the ears over plus it might be safer with as a 3yr old may chew them off

Thanks for your inspiring pics! You say that you mix and match heads and bodies. Do you break them apart and then glue them back together, or is there away to snap open the bodies and then clip them back together again afterwards? I can't seem to get them open and am afraid I will break them!

I break them apart then reassemble them,

first I pull the head off as its only glued on so a few wiggles tend to do the trick if its a stubborn one I use the pilars but this can damage the toy so just be aware of that.

then to split the body,
I use a old wooden shelf and sit the figure on the edge so the legs are hanging off.
then I use a flat headed screwdriver and place it on the top (where the head was) where the molds close together and then tap it with a hammer...some only need the tiniest tap some needs a good whack

hope that helps

Thank you for the response! So Chloe & her 'big friends' are the same size as peppa? I only asked because the Fisher price mom pig is larger but not nearly as big as the proper scale characters, so was considering using her for Chloe.....the eyelashes on mom would pose an issue.....anyway, you can tell I'm about to embark on a new project this weekend! I've already made cute felt tents for the 'campground' and sleeping bags.....I've come along way since making museum quality dollhouse miniatures! Though I do plan to make some Eiffel Tower cookies for Delphine....I appreciate you sharing your ingenuity and talent!

that sound cool,
yeah belinda and co were the same figures as peppa but I kind made them taller by heating the legs and stretching them its not that noticeable on their own but when placed next to a standard figure you could tell the difference,

as for the eyelashes....with a craft blade can you scrap them off?, thats what I done with daddy pig's glasses when turning him into uncle pig,
hope that helps, can't wait to see the stuff you create

Did you use all of the 'appropriate scale' marketed by Character Options? Are did you use some of the Fisher price ones too?

hi, no fisher price ones were used these were all 'character' products. I tried as best as possible to make everyone in scale I.e edmund, alexander zuzu, zaza etc are the same size as gorge, dads were the same size as officially produced dad figures, same as the mums etc etc.
my neice has just into it so maybe some new ones may appear soon

These are BRILLIANT!!!! We've purchased many Peppa items from the UK because the ones we have here in the US are so cheap and poorly made in comparison....I've searched high and low for a Freddie & Delphine because my 4 yr old loves them both, and you've given me the best inspiration to make them myself from our duplicates! I've worked with FIMO clay quite a bit, but it must be baked and plastic underneath wouldn't hold up in the oven....would you mind sharing which clay you used? I would appreciate it.....What a wonderful collection!!!!! Thank you for sharing!

hi, glad you like them

most of the older ones I used 'green stuff' and then later on as I started doing more customs I changed to 'aves apoxie scult- fix it'

I found aves much easier to sculpt and shape but as you don't need loads for theses figure price wise green stuff is a much better option they are both a 2 part apoxies so you mix equal amounts of part A and part B and then it becomes a scuplting putty/clay, both of these products are widely used amongst toy/action figure customizers and can be found at most model shops or good old Ebay and both of these air drying so would be fine - no baking needed.

freddy fox is quite easy....this was just a danny dog with a sculpted tail. then repainted

delphine was made with the following parts....
suzy sheep head
emily elephant body(I used this body as its got the same shape tail on the back as delphines)
pedros nose
rebecca rabbits ears
then repainted

thanks again

Hi, My little girl is 5 and has autism too, she is also crazy about Peppa Pig, she loves acting out the different scenes with the figures when watching the show. What you have done is amazing!!
I have lots of duplicate figures and I'd love to do this, not sure my painting skills are up to it though!!?
The playground idea is also a great idea to mount them all on a base. Well done you should be very proud and I bet she loves them.
