Custom #:51107
Name:Nightwing
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:DC Universe
Creator:1987olds442

Base Figure:Arkham City Nightwing, YJ Sportsmaster, DCUC Jonah Hex
Height:6.50 inches
Nightwing was a fun quick project while I was finishing up my personal Red Hood custom. I was lacking a Nightwing in my collection, so I decided just to make one. I really liked the armored look of the Arkham City Nightwing figure, but he was a little too tall. To make him the same height of other DCUC figures I used a set of Jonah Hex's upper legs paired up with a set of modified YJ Sportsmaster's lower leg. I ended up counter sinking the boots into the lower legs to shorten him a little with the added bonus of a hidden boot cut articulation. The head is a casting of the DCD Hush Nightwing that I bought from Casting Cave. The belt is also from Sportsmaster and the leg pouch is from ML Bullseye. Then finally painted his costume with matte black with semi-gloss and gloss black accents.

Thank you very much When I started him I really didn't have any costume in mind, but he ended up with a cool tactical look to him... or an older version of YJ Nightwing.

That's a really nice mix of parts! However, because the scale on the Arkham figures is a little larger, his torso ends up looking a mite long. Not a big issue though, well done here.

Thanks I agree that his torso looks a tad long due to the larger scale of the Arkham figure. It is weird that Mattel has three different scales for their DC figures.

You're welcome! I think the larger Arkham City figures are so that they're compatible with the similarly-scaled Arkham Asylum and City figures from DC Collectibles.
