For my 200th custom I wanted to go back to my roots. The Super Powers line was my favorite collection of figures growing up. The bright colors and power features and fabric capes; everything was awesome. So as so many versions of the Superman figure have come and gone since, none have truly captured the essence of that old line. I have waited for years to come up with a decent combination to create this figure using the bright blue variant figure. Finally one day while perusing the loose figures online it came down to the Elseworlds Superman or the Enemies Among Us Superman... Honestly I wouldn't mind swapping out for Enemies Among us but I found this one cheaper. So with a handy head swap knocked out I still needed the perfect emblem. It's no good to simply use the stock logo (most of these variety have a very sketchy emblem paint job) so I took to digitally drawing the "S" from reference off of a Super Powers model and then plotting it in red vinyl. I placed it on a swatch of yellow, trimmed it out and VIOLA!!!!

I placed it squarely on Supe's chest and took a lighter to heat it in place. I'm digging it... may still seek out an Enemies Among Us head... I like the hair better... If it happens this will surely be updated.
