This Mastermind figure is part of a 'Brotherhood of Evil Mutants' set. I wanted to make the original founding members based on the First Appearance of 'The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants' in Uncanny X-Men #4, but with some liberties taken with their "looks". Mastermind was made using a Sleepy Hollow-Johnny Depp-Ichabod Crane figure as the base, with part of a Spawn cape used for the top part of his coat (removable). His facial hair is sculpted. Mastermind is the Master of Illusion and Mental manipulation and as a sidenote to any other use, almost constantly uses his powers to make himself appear more physically attractive than he really is. For this reason I wanted to have his custom be kind of in-between what he looks like when he is less and more attractive, and ideally hoped that he would look more or less attractive depending on the angle he was viewed from.
