The Dark Knight has been one of my favorite characters for as long as I can remember. Not to mention one of the customs I have been less than brave enough to attempt. But, I talked to Mack (much appreciated) and he gave me some great starting points, so I decided to give him a shot. And what better place to start than my favorite costume design of his? I always thought black and grey were the best colors to portray him in. And they even carried it over into his New 52 look, though giving it more of an armor appearance. The boots came from a Captain America figure, and I got the belt from a Batman kit, but I think it might have originated from a movie figure. I'm not sure. The gauntlets were my biggest point of difficulty, of course, but I attempted cutting the blades from his Infinite Heroes figure and sculpting the gauntlets around them. Not a perfect rendition, but at least I got myself off to a decent start.
