Artery is a character from Darren Shan's The Demonata series of books.
He is one of Lord Loss' favourite familiars, and the brother of Vein.


description-
Artery was a demon with green skin, with a body size simular to a childs. In stead of hair he had, leeches, lice,maggots or cockroaches devouring the flesh of his scalp(different insects in each book he featured in). He also had no real eyes, just sockets filled with balls of fire.
He had wickedly sharp claws and in each hand he has mouths in the palms of each hand.
He's also shown, on the cover of Demon Thief, that he has large pointed ears.



work-
i started with a troll from the hobbit

shortened both the lower and upper arms on each side

shaved loads of excess plastic of and then re-sculpted back on and added the cracking rotten skin effect as well as making rotten flesh wounds,

cut off the top of the head and sculpted a brain, then added ripped skin, then placed the maggots on top of it

drilled holes in the head for eye sockets the re-sculpted the edge and brow around the eyes,

re-sculpted the mouth to give him an evil smile

sculpted the mouths the the palms too
