Ver-Man-ous was a peaceful alien who was captured by another invading alien force, and because of his fierce looks, was forced into being a gladiator. Never wanting that life for himself Ver-Man-ous escaped in a space ship and crash landed in the Preternian wasteland, where he met and befriended He-Ro who had come to inspect the crash. Not wanting to alarm the people of Preternia, Ver-Man-ous chose to stay in the wasteland and live amongst the vermin who had accepted him as one of their own. Because Ver-Man-ous' alien species live extremely long lives, he has lived almost the entire span of of Preternia and Eternia, and though he prefers the solitude of the wasteland, he has allied himself with the Heroic warriors from time to time over the many years he has lived. Ver-Man-ous has fought along with his legion of vermin friends, to keep the newly arrived Hitlor, from exterminating their kind.
