They're already playing this xmas song at the malls. So took it as a sign to finish this King Hulk custom before xmas is actually upon us (yikes!).
Marvel Select Hulk with resculpted arm, and sculpted parts of the armor. Total resculpt of the face, primarily the brow, around the mouth, and new nose. The straps were a combo of sculpt, McF accessories and even an old leather watch strap with buckle, for added realism. Bigger spikes came off of Spawn figs, and the mini arm spikes were cut from the tips of a comb, glued and reinforced with apoxie. The leg straps were simply cut strips of vinyl, repainted brown to simulate leather, added pearl adhesives for the studs. Got the sandals from a cruise ship souvenir gift (pair of mini sandals - knew they'd come in handy one day!)and the back sword is from an ML Conan. The big sword and shield were also custom made. The shield is actually a smaller shield from a McF Bloodaxe Spawn, attached to an oval shaped base stand with sculpted details and added spikes. The sword is from a Lady Death 12" blade attached to a MOTU Skeletor weapon hilt, chipped and repainted to look like distressed metal. The repaint on the skin is a mix of yellow ochre, primary green, shades of brown and grey to give lots of muscle tone and skin definition. Bright green was applied as the 1st layer to give off a radiation effect, and more subdued colors were then painted over top.
