I'm a huge fan of LOTR and The Hobbit films, and an even bigger fan of the Elven Queen Galadriel. She is a powerful as well as wise. In the movies her powers weren't really shown, hopefully in the next Hobbit films we get to see what she's made of. The look for this custom isn't what most people are used to seeing, it's actually based off her appearance in The Guardians Of Middle Earth game. I started out with real cloth and cut out the dimensions for a gown and the sleeves. It was painted then glued on to a hope summers body. Her chest guard was molded with epoxy putty. I'm still learning on how to use epoxy putty it was super difficult. Once everything was glued on and painted I started painting over the folds of the dress for a realistic/worn look. I was able to find some shoulder guards from a McFarlane figure. The headpiece was from a helmet of a 12 inch figure and I cut it with a sharp blade and glued it on to her head. The head itself is from the Galadriel figure from toy biz LOTR line. I think the likeness is pretty spot on. Her hands are from Neca's Portal figure Chell. The boots are from Marvel Legends Storm Figure. The ring on her finger actually belongs on the other hand but I thought it looked better on the left and it's from the other Galadriel figure from the toy biz line of her in her entranced state as seen in The Fellowship Of The ring. This custom was pretty difficult and took a lot of patience to complete hopefully you enjoy it. Thanks for looking. Please wait... |
