Any real Deadpool fan would (OR SHOULD) agree the new Hasbro X-force DP did not do the character justice. Although the head sculpt and boots are amazing, aside from the rest of the same old re-hash body and hands, they are slightly disproportional. So, in honor of my new Deadpool...I needed an X-force variant for my collection. (bear with me as I did not have the right paints, any brushes, or a decent base) Started with an ML Punisher body and arms. Popped off the protruding teeth from skull on Punisher's chest. Left with a big flat gap I had to sculpt in some abs for our favorite merc. After which I sculpted straps on shoulders and sides with ammo belts. The "X" was cut from Hasbro's DP chest piece. As was the neck strap. Belt and holster came from Hasbro DP too...actually...so did his shins and feet. I added apoxy to his calves to make it more proportional. The upper thighs are Punisher once again but the knees are from an ML Hand ninja. Upper side holster from Toybiz (BEST ONE!) Deadpool. Lanyard from vintage TMNT figure. Swords and sheaths from Hasbro DP. Hands from ML Shield agent with apoxy on wrists and forearms. Head was a Sota Evil Ryu (evil grin one) with apoxy. As I aforementioned I didn't use any paint brushes (not by choice). So, I used Black spray paint as a primer or base paint. Mixed some wolf grey acrylic paint with some dark grey (with a coffee stick). Went all out and straight up finger painted him. Used my exacto knife to paint on detail lines on mask, upper arms, wrists, ankles, and thighs. Silver for buckles...same technique with exacto knife. Oh, same with brass and eyes. Not something I recommend or ever want to do again. Thanks for looking. ![]() |
