Hi guys! When I saw the contest Mythic Might, only one character comes to mind and that is Marvel’s thunder god Thor. The official ROML release was great but it is too huge to be in a 1:12 Avengers display so I decided to make a scaled version of it. This custom figure is all Hyperion, except for the WWE hands. First off, back when the Hyperion figure was announced, I thought it was really good, well almost on all aspects, until I got my hands on it. Up front it is nice but take another angle like a side or top view, the neck is way far off the shoulders and chest. The anatomy is so messed up it made me remember a certain comic book cover/art of horrible proportions. I seriously don’t like it that way so I made a fix. The neck, nape area and chest are sawed off. I put lots of styrene bars in between to make a foundation for the new neck to be re-aligned properly. The chest and everything else was reconstructed with aves apoxie. The arms and legs are carved to achieve the chainmail look. I had to spray primer gray to know if I am doing it right LOL. Helmet, wings and hair are sculpted with aves apoxie. Cape is made from Hyperion cape parts and styrene with modified connectors at the back. Mjolnir is made from scraps and fillers, topped with a layer of aves and connected to a styrene rod for the handle with twisty ties on the tip. Details on the upper body, belt, wrists, kneepads and boots are sculpted with aves apoxie. ![]() |

A couple of questions:
Just of curiosity, was the comic with the messed up anatomy you mentioned in your description Rob Liefeld's work?
And, in the first picture, is that a ML Doop stand painted red, or is it a stand from a different line?
-yes it is him. I am sorry if I offend you or any others but the reason why I didn't mention the name is to avoid conflicts in a friendly community
-it is a Tamashii Stage Act stand
