Hey guys!

And now, my first custom of the year... a repaint! Lol... Last weekend, I stumbled across a new series of figures called Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. The designs are based on the now popular animated style characters. There was a show in production but it got scrapped. There was enough time to get the figs out though! Well, the figure was AWESOME, but the paint-job was lacking.

So, I drybrushed him to give him a nice "dirty" look. He is a pirate right? I decided to leave the coat alone, since it was already pretty nice. I REALLY love how the eyes came out. Then I decided to take a page out of Hemble's book and give him a cool base! I decided to go with an island theme.

First, I cut the shape out of cardboard, and used spray on craft glue to attach two kinds of fake moss for the vegetation. Then I used real dirt from the yard with a few coats of spray glue for the appearance of wet sand! For the big leave's, I used a few leaves from a fake tree, stuck in a styrofoam base, glue on, and covered in more moss.
