I understand the red hood on the head, but I'm not getting why some of the symbiote tendrils would be red too (that's starting to move into Carnage territory). I like your idea, but I think the execution could have been done better; in particular, I think you could have integrated more Red Hood elements (a tattered jacket perhaps) and possibly given him some gun accessories.
