Okay, here comes yet another figure in my DC Universe collection, Doctor Thaddeus Bodog Sivana as he appeared in Jerry Ordway's Power of Shazam.
This was a fairly simple figure to do. I had an extra Mattel Ghostbusters Walter Peck figure, which I removed the head, jacket, arms, and hands from. With the figure headless, jacket-less, arm-less, and hand-less, I gave him a full body repaint in Testors Model Masters Green Zinc Chromate for the pants, shoulders, and vest and Testors Model Masters Burnt Sienna for the shoes, buttons, and belt (Once the green and brownish paints were dry, I gave the figure a coating in flat clear). Once fully repainted and coated in flat clear, I used my Dremel to grind down the neck ball joint into a post. With that done, I set the figure aside and removed the double ball joint peg from a DC Direct Shazam! Series 1 Sivana figure, Next, after repainting the jacket in the Green Zinc Chromate and giving it a coating of flat clear, I put it back on the figure, and reattached the arms which I had also repainted in the Green Zinc Chromate and coated with flat clear. With the arms now reattached, I then attached the hands from a DC Direct Silver Age Superman Series 1 Jimmy Olsen after giving them a full repaint in a home brewed Caucasian flesh tone that more closely matched the skin tone of the head and a coating of flat clear. Lastly, I glued the head in place, and TA-DA...Doctor Thaddeus Bodog Sivana as he appeared in Jerry Ordway's Power of Shazam!!!
Please let me know what you guys think of him, and as always, comments are appreciated.
