I love the sculpt of the new Marvel Now! Captain America, but there are a couple of things that I was disappointed in. One I really wish that he could have been a little bigger about the same height as the Commander Steve Rogers figure, and two I wish he had a some more paint to bring out all that great sculpting detail. The first I can't really do anything about, but I can fix the second gripe on my figure. First I started on the blues of his costume. There are three different shades I started with Model Masters Dark Blue, then I dry brushed MM french blue over that, and finally I dry brushed a custom mixed some light blue (French Blue & White). Then I sealed it with a top coat and then a dullcoat, but went back over the armor with a semi-gloss. For the gloves I mixed up some darker red for the base coat, and then I dry brushed a lighter red over the base. For the white on the arms I started with a really light blue and brushed several coats of white over them. I also repainted the face as I thought the flesh tone was a little too pink on the factory figure. I also added a little dark blue to the creases on the helmet, and added a coat of semigloss to the helmet as well. Let me know what you think. Please wait... |

Always glad to pass along some of the tips that I've learned. I've learned a lot from my fellow customizers by observing what they have done, and I've been inspired by a lot of their great creations
