I was kinda bummed that the Electro figure we got was clearly not a Jamie Foxx figure. We got 2 headsculpts and neither had any likeness to the man. I rectified this by taking a Randy Orton head and added features using my hot glue method*. I started by widening the nose and pumping up the lips a little bit and narrowing the jaw. Once I had all my features locked in I made a mold and cast out my head in one piece with the "box" on the side of this head.

The unpainted cast holds a much more faithful likeness. it was only when i got to painting that things got weird.

The head is painted with a few layers of a mixed light blue and then some white dry brush and then some carving into the paint to add some texture.


* Hot glue method: Augmentation of features using small pieces of hot glue that are melted into place and then pushed into place as it reaches near cooling temperatures. Its a little more stable than clay since it stays in place for very small applications and you can really get away with some murder when it comes to rounding out features with more heat.

Hot glue once cooled can be carved, textured and blended into plastic pretty easily with patience. Always work in thin layers, Never straight from the gun.
