Here's a Venom I just finished this week. I came up with the design after being influenced by some pics I saw that had the spider symbol on Venom popping out and looking like bone. ive had this idea looming around fir awhile untill I recently decided to give it a go after a customer wanted a crazy custom out of a Pitt.
I started off by dremeling down the legs, feet, and crotch. then I sculpted over and made the feet hooved. I sculpted the firearms too. I. feel I keep getting better at sculpting these firearns after having to do it to almost every Pitt custom. For the head I used Pitt's original head and cut the botton jaw off to readjust it to give him an opened jaw. for the teath I used floss picks then.I resculpted the head and eyes. Now to the symbol. I wanted the symbol to be protruding from the surface and give it the illusion thats its a bone like substance. As for the pattern and details that all was random and I tried to keep the details and design symmetrical. to get the spider symbol to.be able to float over the shoulder and keep full articulation, I layed down foil and began to sculpt over it. after it dried I removed the foil and broke the pieces off so that I could reattach them with strong epoxy.
For the paint I did a flat black with blue dry brushing then I used the air brush to add shadowing. for the symbol I did a gloss white iver flat white then I added some shadowing to the texture detail with the airbrush and brush.
