Wow, this guy took me a while to make. Last year, I've bought the Marvel Select Wolverine figure specifically to turn him into a Ultimate Wolvie. I don't know about you, but I'm a fan of Hugh Jackman. I think he's a great Logan and has a lot of fun making these movies. So of course I wanted him on my shelf! But not that bland shirtless-cargo pants combo.
My first idea was to take the upper half of the MS figure and combine it with NECA David-8's lower half. But that didn't work out – Dave's hips and legs were too small. And on top of that, Wolverine doesn't have a waist joint and I didn't have the patience to cut him in half. Tha
That's where this custom was for almost a year – nowhere. Just this week I came back with a vengeance. True to my older customs, I wanted to make him with what I had in the fodder bin. I had a million different ideas and only one guidline – to use as much of the MS fig I could. It took some time but I finally came up with this:

head, arms and shoulder joints – MS Wolverine
torso – NECA Duke Nukem
hands – ROML Wolverine
crotch, belt and disc joints – NECA Dutch
legs and hip balls – MS movie Hawkeye
boots – ML4 Punisher

I think that's a rather nice looking figure. The claws are a custom cast I got from the Casting Cave. They're beautiful and I couldn't not use them. Plus, bone claws make for a more interesting look than the usual adamantium ones.
As always, the figure was painted and shaded a LOT. I've kept pure black only on his boots, gloves and belt.
