This bad boy took a crud load of work. Frank Castle needs no intro and for whatever reason the animated movie Avengers Confidential Black Widow/Punisher got my mind running for a Punisher custom. There's been such amazing customs on here for Punny but I think all customizers in our scale can agree that finding "buffer" different bodies is quite the challenge. Well in came the Neca Gears of War figs, I basically took a Carmine completely apart & salvaged the neck & arms. I cut away almost all the chest & re-tooled the lower arms & legs to get more articulation. Punisher is a pretty simple character design but I really wanted to have him look "realistic".

I put a large emphasis on scars & wounds all over his visible parts. Starting with his head I wanted to give him deep cut scars(nose, eyebrow, mouth)as well as protruding scars (cheek). Did the same to his arms with a nasty looking gash & a huge scar in the shape of an X as well as a bandaged forearm with weathered blood. A decent amount of sculpt work went into him too and after I saw Asher make a Punisher custom using that neat GI Joe vest I decided to go with that while changing it up a bit. I cut up the vest and then filled the pieces to make the armored parts single pieces instead of being split. I even went as far as re-tooling already sculpted gun holsters on his body so I would be able to fit in larger guns, he now has removable pistols on his leg and belt, removable knives on his forearm, belt & boot. I sculpted his boots & gave him new larger boots which were also modified to be ankle rockers for better articulation.

What's the deal with the Ironman Punisher helmet you ask? One time while Frank came out to help the Avengers, Tony Stark in his usual a*shole-self made a remark to Frank about how he should really consider covering up his face since civilians couldn't tell whether or not he was criminal or hero... so Frank took it under consideration & decided to break into Stark's armory & stole one of Stark's earlier bare bones concept suits helmet. The helmet's basically an empty shell however Frank finds that it makes a world of difference when he goes for a headbutt. Frank from time to time can now happily join the Avengers with a new mask via the generous donation of Stark Industries XD
