I was so bummed that I missed the last contest, I wanted to make sure to get in on this one. This is actually one I have been working on for about 6 months. I knew I wanted to make Ursula with robotic legs, but I wasn't sure what to use. After searching the thrift stores for a few months a base finally appeared. I don't even know what the base is from, but it worked out beautifully. The Ursula top is from an Ursula doll that had a vinyl top. The arms are from my parts bin, and I am not sure what it came from, but it had the awesome mad scientist gloves already on them.
I think I'm the only one that's not really a fan of this one, haha. Don't get me wrong, it's been excellently crafted. I guess it's what makes it more "steampunk", but the hands and goggles don't really do it for me; arms with a little more girth may have been better also. But again, kudos on the craftsmanship!
Thanks for the honest reply. I was going for a Mad Scientist look with the goggles, and the arms were suppose to be a little small and scrawny. I actually had some issues with finding the right arms also, so I can kind of see what you are talking about too. I really appreciate the honest comment, so thanks!
Out of all entries, I really felt you were my biggest competition and if anyone, you would win. LOVE this custom! In the end I ended 5th, but at least you ended up top 3! Congrats on 2nd place! (Should have been 1st!)
