Gambit (Marvel Vs Capcom) (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:66077
Name:Gambit (Marvel Vs Capcom)
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:Wings
Date Added:September 23, 2014
Base Figure:Superior Spider-Man
Height:6.00 inches
This outfit is my firm favourite for Remy, especially as I grew up with the 90's animated X-Men series. As soon as I got hold of a Superior Spider-Man I knew I had to make an update. Swapped the arms and coat with Punisher, and used the bottom legs/knees, chestplate and a couple of heads from the Toybiz release. Modified one Gambit head with craft foam to emulate his MvsC sprite and used an Adam Warlock head for a more modern look. His spare hand is from XMC Magneto and his card effects are hot glue with blister packaging. Used a dowl for his solid staff and a cocktail stirrer with some more hot glue for the charged up staff.

Great work dude, by the way how did you fit the lower legs on the base body? The parts aren't fitting for me, don't know how to put the Gambit lower legs on at the knee joint

Cheers dude!

I use the boil and pop method. Heat up the joint in boiled water for a minute or two, then gently pull the loop art of the joint above the knee so the peg pops out. Then swap over and squeeze the loops together over the replacement peg and joint.

Thanks for replying. Lol I'm more than familiar with the method, I'm talking about the size of the joints. There's no way I could fit the Gambit legs onto the Bucky Cap base which is what I'm using, and others have accomplished. They just aren't compatible, because the Toybiz knee joints are tiny. The central pins can't fit because the hole running through the whole double knee joints are cut off when I tried substituting them at the top or the bottom. I don't understand how people have done it using that base body .

I see what you mean! I think the Superior Spider-man legs are a little narrower. Could the pin from the Bucky joint be used on a Gambit knee? Or would it be too loose?

Hmm yeah, the Superior knees may accomodate these but the problem is that the central knee part (with the circular parts and holes in the middle) are really short, so they neither fit in the Bucky Cap upper leg, nor do the lower legs of Gambit fit in the Bucky knees since they're longer. So to run any pin horizontally through, you'll meet a solid wall preventing it going all the way across. But I've seen others do it! And they aren't sharing their secrets!
