Here's a figure I've been wanting to make for YEARS but could never find the right base figure...until Young Justice Superboy in his white suit came out. Started this one awhile back and had to sculpt the entire costume except for the lower portion of the Gi and the belt. That came from a DCUC Bronze Tiger and it worked perfectly.The feet came from a Young Justice Aqualad.I also sculpted the symbol on the back of the Gi...well not really sculpted, but sculpted INTO the back of the Gi.

I realize the face doesn't scream Ralph Macchio, but it was youthful and thin and had pouty lips. When I sculpted the headband and the hair, it looked suitable enough for me. I tried to give him that almost hazy, somewhat unsure of himself expression.

Y'all know I'm all about making figures that are rare or non-existent, but after an exhaustive Google search, I could not find a SINGLE Daniel Larusso custom figure. There were some cartoony Karate Kid figures made in the 80's though, but they were pretty dated and not suitable for what I wanted to accomplish.

The plan is to make Daniel, Mr. Miyagi, Johnny, and Kreese in a tournament scene. With Daniel finished I've started on Johnny using a Young Justice Red Arrow figure, UFC feet, and a Luke Skywalker Black series headcast. For Kreese I'll be using an unmasked Winter Soldier headsculpt and a DCUC body. For Mr. Miyagi, I may have to use a Dr. Who figure to accomodate for his shortness.
