I wanted to make a figure based on where I imagined the Remco Famous Monsters toys could have gone if they branched off and did other monsters. I used an emperor figure for Barlow's body. I wanted to capture the look of the film so I used super sculpey to make the collar and above part of the robe. I then hand sculpted the head out of the same material.
One of my favorite features from the old Remco line was the gimmicky, glow in the dark pieces. I used glow in the dark paint to get a similar effect. Under a bulb for a few minutes gives him a good glow.
This figure comes carded as he was always meant to be a display piece.
