Hey everyone, just finished my first dio and thought I'd share! It's kind of a rocky/barren flat/plateau Dragonball inspired environment. I'm thinking of making a background for it (maybe a big rock-face) but for the time being I just threw a red foam bored behind it for these shots.

I used pink foamular from Home Depot for the base as well as the rocks I carved. I went with 3 tiers of rocks (pic 1) as well as a crater in the middle'ish (pic 2) in case I wanted to do some impact shots. For paint I used Americana acrylics; I did a base coat of white and then another coat of golden brown. Then finished it up with a couple of different wet washes that varied from black to dark-sludgy brown. Once everything set I decided to accent it with some "Battlefield Rocks" by a brand called "The Army Painter" around the bases of the larger rock formations and set them in place with scenic spray glue. And finally with some scrap foam I carved out some smaller loose rocks (pic 2) and painted those. I decided to do this in case I wanted to make some other rock formations without having to permanently set them.

And that's about it! I've been into figure photography for about two years now and have always wanted to try my hand in dio making. Let me know how I did, tips tricks and constructive criticism are always valued!
