If I could turn all my action figures into "white, cel-shaded and sketched" figures like this xenomorph, I would. But I have to restrain myself ;) I believe There should be more white action figures out there because they are so cool. I also love to look at the pencil sketches of comic books more than the final product. I'm also drawn to clothing that use this sketch look, too. Having said that, I made this "drawn sketch" using various paints and coating everything with a gloss to give the alien that slimy look it originally had. Even though a plain drawing is two-dimensional, I wanted to paint tons of details on this alien figure to make it more realistic and three-dimensional. Just using white paint is pretty easy, but the goal for this figure was use tiny shadows to make the xenomorph really come to life from any viewing angle. One of the finest examples of this sketched look that still inspires me to this day is the 80's music video "Take On Me" by A-Ha. One of the best music videos ever made. This is my concept/redesign/upgrade/overhaul/rebuild/remodel/make over of my custom xeno warrior figure.
