Hey everyone!

Here with my most recent custom, also my first commissioned piece - I present to you Silver Samurai! I don't understand how so many of you on the Realm are able to pump out multiple customs a week... This guy was sitting on my table for over a month. As it was a commission I wanted it to be as good as it could be, and I think I achieved that. I'm really happy with how it turned out, my photos don't do it justice.

Silver Samurai was made using the recently released Jubilee wave ML Stryfe. I cut off the majority of the spikes and completely resculpted the torso area and arms using Aves Apoxie. It took a while to figure out how to sculpt the rising sun symbol on the chest while maintaining articulation, but I managed it in the end. The shoulder armour was sculpted from scratch.

The head was made by combining the bottom half of Stryfe's head with the top half of Onslaught series Loki's. The helmet piece came from a Samurai Spawn figure. The blades at the front came from Stryfe as well.

The belt and sash came from the same Samurai Spawn figure as the samurai helmet. A few people on the realm have used the same parts in Silver Samurai customs, so thanks to them for the inspiration.

I also included a sword, complete with tachyon field energy effect. The sword came from the Spawn figure, I reshaped it slightly so that it looked more samurai-esque. The energy effect was made from wire and hot glue. It was my first time making any sort of effect, and I think it turned out well.

Silver Samurai was painted using Citadel Paints and sealed with Testors Dullcote. Although it doesn't show up too well in the photos, the rising sin symbol and red highlights on his cuffs are glossy.
