When I started collecting Outer Space Men, it seemed to me that these space adventurers needed some vehicles. They are scaled about the same size as a vintage Star Wars or GI Joe figure so I checked out my old collection to see if there was anything I could sacrifice to the OSM. My old Star Wars mini-rig had seen a lot of playtime in the past but the plastic had become discolored and the decal on the outside was gone, so I decided to use that. Being a generic design never seen in the movies also made it a good choice. I disassembled it, masked off the insides carefully to preserve the control panel decal, and painted it silver with two coats of transparent green.

I then decorated it with some leftover Guitar Hero decals and rechristened it the Crater Crawler! Most of the standard figures can fit inside.
